A crossroads town under the chalk hills
Royston grew where Ermine Street crossed the Icknield Way, right on what is now the border between Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
The parish church was once part of the town’s priory, and beneath the streets is Royston Cave, a medieval chamber cut into the chalk. Therfield Heath rises to the west, and the station connects the town with both London and Cambridge.
Older houses in the centre, post-war and newer estates around the edge, and a ring of villages: plenty of bathrooms, sills and frames to look after.

Royston sealant questions
How can I tell if the sealant round my window sill needs replacing?
Look for cracks, gaps at the edges, discolouration or a bead that has gone hard. If you can push a fingernail behind it, water can get behind it too. A photo is usually enough for us to tell you.

Can you reseal a door frame that’s letting in draughts?
