A cathedral city that keeps on growing
Peterborough has one of the finest Norman cathedrals in England, and around it one of the fastest-growing cities in the region.
The older streets around the centre, Woodston, Fletton and Dogsthorpe are lined with Victorian and inter-war houses. The new town expansion added Bretton, Orton and Werrington, and more recently Hampton and Stanground have grown into big modern districts. Each era brings its own sealant problems, from hardened frame mastic to cracked silicone in newer bathrooms.
On the commercial side, the city’s position on the A1(M) and A47 has made it a major distribution and manufacturing centre, which means large sheds, cladding, precast panels and long runs of movement joints.

Sealant work for sites, sheds and homes
Warehouses & industrial
Cladding laps, flashings, gutters and wall-to-floor joints sealed on logistics and manufacturing buildings.
Commercial mastic →Precast & movement joints
Precast panel joints and expansion joints cut out and resealed with the right backing and sealant.
Precast concrete joints →Windows & doors
Frame perimeters on new and older homes resealed and colour-matched to brick or frame.
Window & door mastic →Bathrooms & showers
Mouldy or split silicone removed and replaced with anti-mould sanitary sealant.
Bathroom resealing →Landlords & agents
Check-out and void reseals for rented homes, booked quickly so properties can be relet.
Slab & floor joints
Internal slab joints in warehouses and units sealed to suit traffic and cleaning.
Slab & floor joints →Frame perimeters on new homes
On new plots the mastic around windows and doors is the last line of defence against water. We clean and prime where the manufacturer specifies, use backer rod where joints are deep and tool every bead to a neat, even line ready for handover.
- Phased to follow the window fitters plot by plot
- Colour agreed with the site team before starting
- Access equipment operated by trained staff
- Remedial snags returned to quickly

Showers and baths that stay sealed
A shower tray that moves slightly under weight will tear thin or poorly bonded silicone within months. We fill baths before sealing, choose a sanitary silicone with mould inhibitor and leave it to cure properly before the shower goes back into use.
If you’re weighing it up, our post on how long silicone takes to dry explains the curing times.

Peterborough sealant questions
Do you seal warehouses and industrial units around Peterborough?
Yes. We seal cladding laps, flashings, movement joints in slabs and walls, and precast concrete panel joints on logistics and industrial buildings, working from MEWPs, towers or scaffold with RAMS on request.
Can you reseal bathrooms and windows in Hampton and the newer estates?
Yes. New houses dry out and settle in their first years, so silicone often cracks around baths, showers and frames. We cut it out and reseal with a product that can take the movement.
Do you cover the villages outside the city?
Yes. Eye, Thorney, Whittlesey, Glinton, Castor and the other villages on this page are all covered, for homes and for builders.
How quickly can you price a job in Peterborough?
