A boot-and-shoe town at a logistics crossroads
Kettering’s centre is built around the Market Place and the tall spire of St Peter and St Paul, with Victorian terraces from its boot-and-shoe days spreading out from there.
The A14 and the Midland Main Line have made it a hub for warehousing and distribution, with large sheds around the town and at Burton Latimer. Hanwood Park, to the east, is one of the biggest new housing areas in the county, and Wicksteed Park has been drawing visitors for over a century.
Big commercial buildings and large housing schemes mean long runs of movement joints and plot after plot of sealant.
Movement joints in a matching colour
Movement joints let long walls expand and contract without cracking. When the sealant in them fails, water gets in and the joint can’t do its job. We cut it out, renew the backer rod and reseal with a low-modulus product, matched to the brick or panel.
- Brick, block and precast joints
- Colour matched to the masonry
- Access by tower, MEWP or scaffold
- RAMS and site inductions as needed

Sealant work around Kettering
Industrial movement joints
Wall and floor joints on warehouses and factories resealed.
Commercial interiors
Panelling, washrooms and kitchens in shops, offices and restaurants.
Home bathrooms
Showers and baths resealed with anti-mould silicone.
Panelling and painted walls
Where timber panelling meets a painted wall, a fine, colour-matched joint gives a clean edge and stops the gap collecting dirt. We match to the paint or the timber, depending on which shows more.
It’s the kind of finishing detail fit-out contractors and owners notice.

Kettering sealant questions
Do you seal joints on distribution and industrial buildings around Kettering?
Yes. We reseal brick, block, precast and concrete movement joints, cladding and flashing joints and door perimeters on industrial and distribution buildings, from MEWPs, towers or scaffold, with RAMS on request.
Do you work on the new homes at Hanwood Park?
Yes. We take on plot mastic for builders and developers and help owners with sealant that cracks as a new house settles.
Can you reseal brick movement joints in a matching colour?
Yes. We match the sealant to the brick, whether red, buff or grey, so the joint doesn’t stand out on the elevation.
