Mastic Man Islington: Angel, Highbury & Clerkenwell

Georgian squares, mansion flats and City fringe offices

Islington has some of the finest Georgian and early Victorian streets in London, and a lot of them are listed or in conservation areas.

In Barnsbury, Canonbury, Highbury and around Upper Street, timber sash windows, stucco and London stock brick need a gentle approach: low-modulus, non-staining sealant, careful masking and a colour that matches the paint or brick. We also reseal bathrooms and kitchens in houses and flats right across the borough.

In Clerkenwell, Finsbury and around Angel, offices, studios and new apartment blocks mean commercial work: glazing perimeters, curtain wall joints, washroom and tea-point sealing for fit-out contractors, and movement joints on new buildings.

Islington Town Hall on Upper Street, the Business Design Centre and the canal around City Road Basin show the borough’s mix of stone, brick and modern glazing.

Bathrooms and kitchens in Islington flats

Many Islington homes are flats in converted houses or mansion blocks, where a leaking shower is a problem for the neighbours as well as you. We strip out the failed silicone, dry the joint and reseal properly.

Landlords across Holloway, Archway and Highbury use us between tenancies so bathrooms and kitchens look fresh.

We are also a sealant specialist and specialist applicator for commercial work: expansion joints, cladding and façades sealed with polyurethane or polysulphide and the right backer rod, re-mastic work for managing agents, and new-build plot mastic and snagging. Homeowners call us for window mastic in Islington on uPVC and timber to stop draughts, and for bathroom resealing in Islington, from wet room and en-suite joints to shower resealing in Islington. RAMS and insurance documents are available for site work.
